A rollback in the pump prices of petroleum products will take effect tomorrow, March 4.

Oil companies announced over the weekend that diesel could go down by P0.70 to P1 per liter, gasoline by P0.80 to P1/L, and kerosene by P1.30 to P1.50/L.

Exact adjustments will be known today, March 3.

The first rollback for this month followed two consecutive weeks of price increases, the latest on Feb. 25, when diesel rose by P0.40 a liter, gasoline by P0.70/liter, and kerosene by P0.20/liter.

Since the start of this year, both gasoline and diesel logged total net increase of P4.75/liter each, and P2.90/liter for kerosene, the Department of Energy Oil Monitor showed.

Petron, meanwhile, said it implemented a P1.20/kg rollback, inclusive of the value-added tax, in the prices of liquefied petroleum gas effective March 1, to reflect the international contract price of LPG for this month. | CGC
