A robbery hold-up suspect was arrested several minutes after committing the crime in Barangay San Pedro, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental.
Initial police investigation showed that alias Marsma, 59, of Barangay Pacol, Valladolid, robbed a businesswoman at gunpoint.
The victim was manning her grocery store when the suspect declared a hold-up and struck her in the neck before taking P50,000 in cash.
With the help of a security guard, who was joined later by policemen, the fleeing suspect was arrested.
The police recovered the stolen P50,000 cash and a homemade revolver with four ammunition from the suspect, who is now locked up in jail. | GB
