A 53-year-old motorcycle rider died after losing control of his vehicle and crashing into a mahogany tree along the national highway in Barangay Hilamonan, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental Sept. 10.
Police said that alias “Gor-gor,” a married laborer and resident of Sitio Overflow in Barangay Hilamonan, was driving his Yamaha Vega 115cc motorcycle from the Kabankalan City public market toward the Kabankalan-Mabinay road.
While traversing the right outer lane of the highway along Villa Concha, the driver suddenly swerved toward the roadside, collided with a mahogany tree, and sustained severe head injuries, the police added.
Responding personnel of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office rushed the victim to the Lorenzo D. Zayco District Hospital but was declared dead on arrival by an attending physician. | TMD
