Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said Nov. 8 that the curfew hours in the province will either be removed or shortened, depending on what the city and town mayors will agree on during their meeting this week.
The move to adjust the 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. uniform curfew hours in Negros Occidental came after the province was placed on Alert Level 2 by the National Inter-Agency Task Force from Nov. 1 to 14.
Lacson said that the result of their meeting will be contained in the new executive order that he will issue within the week.
Meanwhile, the provincial vaccination team continues to ask local chief executives to double their efforts to increase the output of their vaccination activities, since the increase in the number of vaccinated persons correlates with the reduction of new COVID cases.
Another batch of Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines also arrived at the Bacolod-Silay Airport Nov. 8 and immediately delivered to the cold storage facilities of Negros Occidental and Bacolod City.
Negros Occidental received 59,670 doses of Pfizer and 45,300 doses of AstraZeneca, while Bacolod City got 12,870 doses of Pfizer and 9,600 doses of AstraZeneca. — MML
