Dumaguete City Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo commended the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority in Negros Oriental for organizing the 2024 National Tech-Voc Day and World Café of Opportunities Aug. 27 at Robinsons Place, attended by hundreds of jobseekers and officials of allied agencies.

The job fair, participated in by more than a dozen companies, was held in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment and the city Public Employment Service Office as part of the 30th anniversary celebration of TESDA.

Remollo, in a city press release, reiterated his constant support to TESDA in recognition of its important role of training eligible citizens so that they could acquire the skills and knowledge to help them gain decent employment in the Philippines and abroad.

Remollo also congratulated and administered the oath of office to the newly-elected officials of the Negros Oriental Association of TVET Institutions, headed by its president, Blanchie Utzurrum.

Also in attendance were TESDA provincial director Joel Villagracia, assistant PD Beth Aimee Tubig, and Dumaguete City PESO manager Maria Socorro Mira.
