Department of Education Region 7 director Salustiano Jimenez and Let’s Play founder Kasper Hansen thanked Dumaguete City Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo for his “unconditional support in the official attempt to set the Guinness World Records for the largest Rondalla Ensemble in the World”.

About 554 rondalla players belonging to DepEd7, including a delegation from the Dumaguete City Schools Division, gathered at the Mandaue City Cultural and Sports Complex June 28 for the attempt, and later earned a record holder certificate as Largest Rondalla Ensemble in the World by the Guinness World Records, the city said in a press release.
