A total of 115 violators among those who lined up outside the University of St. La Salle campus for the voter registration were arrested for violation of the curfew and social distancing protocol Monday until Wednesday.
The Task Force Disiplina of the Bacolod City Legal Enforcement Team, headed by Wilfredo Geolingo, said the violations were logged at Police Station 4 and the violators were brought to the police station and at the Villamonte Gym for orientation.
The task force said they arrested 13 violators Monday, 97 Tuesday, and five Wednesday.
The curfew violators were arrested because they were seen loitering outside the Lasalle gate at past 1 o’clock in the morning Tuesday.
Geolingo said they brought these persons to the Villamonte gym and have them stay there until 4 a.m., and were release after the curfew period.
No arrest was made yesterday because the registrants were already aware that violators will be arrested and fined, Geolingo added. — MML
