An alleged member of the New People’s Army, who is facing murder charges, was arrested by the authorities in Barangay 1, Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental on Saturday (Jan. 11).
Alias “Lando”, 42, of Sitio Lower Mamballo in Barangay Quintin Remo has a warrant of issued by the La Carlota City Regional Trial Court Branch 63.
A member of the Yunit Militia under the dismantled Central Negros 1 of Komiteng Rehiyonal Negros/Cebu/Bohol/Siquijor, the accused ranked number four among the most wanted person in Western Visayas.
He was denied bail by the court.
His arrest was a result of the joint effort of the 2nd Negros Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company, Philippine Army’s 62nd Infantry Battalion, Regional Intelligence Unit-6, Anti- Kidnapping Group Visayas, Regional Mobile Force Battalion-6, among other law enforcement agencies. | GB
