Police Col. Noel Aliño and 42 other police commissioned officers assigned at the Bacolod City Police Office on Wednesday, April 19, underwent random drug testing.

Included in the drug testing were all commanders of 10 police stations under the BCPO, as well as staff officers.

Aliño said he ordered the drug testing among PCOs after the command conference or a day after he assumed command of the BCPO, in acting capacity.

He added that he wants BCPO officers to lead as an example to their subordinates.

Mayor Alfredo Benitez earlier said he expects a lot from Aliño, as he wants heightened police visibility operations and the resolution of unsolved cases, including the dumping of human body parts in Bacolod City.

Aliño said he will try his utmost best to serve the people of Bacolod./GB
