‘Rally behind our Miss Universe bet’

Bacolod City officials, led by Mayor Alfredo Benitez and Rep. Greg Gasataya, and the Miss Bacolod MassKara, call on Bacolodnons and Negrenses to support Jan Marie Bordon, who is the official candidate of the highly-urbanized city to the Miss Universe Philippines pageant in June.

Jan Marie, the reigning Miss Bacolod MassKara International, flew back to the city Feb. 21 to meet with city officials and supporters, and officially announce her participation to the prestigious beauty contest.

“Let’s rally behind our Miss Universe Philippines representative, Jan Marie Bordon,” Benitez posted on his Facebook page. “Best of luck to you Jan Marie, Bacolod is proud of you!”

Jan Marie said: “Opportunity in life is a gift from God and I take this opportunity to be part of Miss Universe Philippines 2023. As my new chapter and journey begins, I will take this as a privilege to tell my story and promote my advocacy.
