Responding policemen recovered 16 bullet shells and eight deformed slugs of caliber .45 pistol.

Based on the testimonies of witnesses, two individuals were seen fleeing the scene of incident, Siason, also former president of the Negros Press Club, said.

He recalled that on Sept. 19, 2019, unidentified assailants also fired upon his house.

Siason said the two incidents could be related to each other.

He added that he is also inclined to believe the latest shooting incident was media work-related as he has tackled issues on graft and corruption against politicians in the cities of Bacolod, Talisay, and Silay.

Siason said he knows two persons who may have something to do with the latest incident.

Siason said he will wait for the outcome of the investigation being conducted by the Talisay City Police Station before initiating any legal action.

P/Lt. Roberto Arrazola Jr., deputy police chief of Talisay City, also said the incident could be job-related.

The motive of the incident is still being established. | GB
