Victorias City Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez led the induction of the newly-elected officers of the Association of Public Information Specialists of Negros Occidental Inc. (APISNO) at the Victorias City Library recently.
The officers are Mary Ann Lazo of Victorias City, president; Kenrod Salazar of Himamaylan City, vice president; Curlita Alipar of Cadiz City, secretary; Hazel Marie Villoso of Sagay City, assistant secretary; Jocel Inventor of Kabankalan City, treasurer; Marites Rosal of Sagay City, assistant treasurer;
Auditor: Elsie Asunar of Silay City, Public Information Officer: Teddy Robles of Himamaylan City, Business Manager: Zolie Balmeo of Talisay City, and members of the Board of Directors: Leslie Abong (Sagay City), Remia Quebrar (Bacolod City), Regie Cabello (retired, Cadiz City), Fe Enilog (retired, San Carlos City), and Marcela Sarmiento (retired, La Castellana).

Twenty-five officers and members of the association participated in the ceremony, which also served as an opportunity to strengthen collaboration among members, the city said in a press release Feb. 25.
The event formally introduced the new officers, reinforcing their responsibilities and commitment to APISNO’s mission of promoting public information and transparency.
APISNO continues to play a vital role in fostering public awareness and effective information dissemination across Negros Occidental, and the induction served to reaffirm the association’s dedication to upholding its core values, the city added.
The Victorias City Public Library, led by officer-in-charge Mary Ann Lazo, also played a key role in organizing the event, ensuring a well-coordinated program that reinforced the importance of information dissemination and transparency. ||
