PRO-NIR honors four policemen

The Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) on Monday (Sept. 22) honored four of its personnel for their exemplary performance and significant contribution in the campaign against illegal drugs.

Awarded during the flag ceremony held at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City were PCapt. Darryl Kuhutan and PSSg Michael John Matutina, who received the Medalya ng Kagalingan in recognition of their intelligence-driven operation, leading to the successful conduct of a buy-bust in Barangay M.H. Del Pilar in Pontevedra, Negros Occidental on July 9.

The anti-drug operation resulted in the arrest of a high-value individual drug personality and the confiscation of 72.817 grams of suspected shabu valued at P495,155.

The same medal was conferred to PCapt. Jose Edrohil Cimafranca and PSSg Julius Caesar in recognition of the successful manhunt operation carried out by the Sibulan Municipal Police Station on Aug. 20 in Barangay Poblacion, Sibulan, Negros Oriental.

The operation led to the arrest of the region’s Top 4 most wanted person. ||
