A 19-year-old pregnant teenager was arrested after she was caught shoplifting grocery items, worth over P1,700, from a retail store in Murcia, Negros Occidental July 19.
The police said alias “Jenny”, from Bacolod City, is seven months pregnant.
Initial reports from the Murcia Municipal Police Station showed that a store employee spotted “Jenny” stashing grocery items, including biscuits, chocolates, and spreads, inside her bag.
When she attempted to leave the store, a security guard asked her for a receipt, and when she failed to produce the proof of payment, her bag was inspected and the goods discovered.
She told the police that she intended to resell the stolen groceries for money. | TMD
