Police seizes firearms, explosive in simultaneous raids in NegOcc

Policemen seized firearms and an explosive, and arrested three suspects in separate raids in Negros Occidental on Nov. 19.

A 53-year-old farmer, whose identity is being withheld by the police, was apprehended at his residence in Purok Najaba, Barangay Bacong, Bago City by virtue of a search warrant issued by a court.

The raid also led to the recovery of a fragmentation grenade and a caliber .357 Magnum revolver with six ammunition.

Another raid resulted in the arrest of another suspect, whose identity is also being withheld by the police, and the recovery of a revolver with three live ammunition and a gun holster at Purok Maghirupay in Barangay Paraiso, Sagay City.

An improvised caliber 9mm revolver with four live ammunition was recovered by the police from a 31-year-old suspect, who was chasing his brother-in-law at Purok Kalye Onse in Barangay Ma-ao, Bago City.

All the arrested suspects are now locked up in jail. | GB
