Police seize P1.7-M shabu in Binalbagan

Anti-illegal drug operatives seized millions of pesos worth of suspected shabu and arrested five individuals in a series of buy-bust during the weekend in Negros Occidental.

A joint operation of the Philippine National Police, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, and other police intelligence units yesterday led to the recovery of about 250 grams of suspected shabu valued at P1.7 million in Barangay Marina, Binalbagan.

The operation led to the arrest of alias “Roming”, 65, a resident of the barangay.

Operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit recovered about 60 grams of suspected shabu worth P408,000  during the operation on July 19  at Purok Maya in Barangay 16, Bacolod City.

Arrested was alias “Cedrick”, 30, who is tagged by the police as a high-value individual drug personality.

In Silay City, alias “Dave”, 35, a casual employee of the city government, on Saturday yielded an estimated nine grams of suspected shabu valued at P61,200 and marked money of P3,000 during the operation in Barangay Guinhalaran.

Two other buy-busts in Cadiz City and Murcia led to the confiscation of about 3.5 grams of suspected shabu valued at P23,800 and the arrest of alias “Sandoy”  and alias “Aljhon”. | GB
