Police arrested two unemployed suspects and seized suspected shabu, dried marijuana, high-grade “kush”, and liquid marijuana, worth a total of P296,400, in buy-bust operations July 21 and 22 in Bacolod City.

The first operation led to the arrest of alias “Toto”, 20, in Purok Langis, Barangay Banago July 21, and the recovery of 11 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing about 38 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated value of P258,400.

Police Station 8 operatives, meanwhile, arrested alias “Kid”, 23, at around 12:14 a.m. July 22 in Calong-calong, Zone 3, Barangay Singcang-Airport. The operation also yielded roughly 150 grams of suspected dried marijuana, or “five fingers”, 10 grams of suspected high-grade marijuana or “kush”, and two milliliters of suspected liquid marijuana inside vaping devices, with combined total of P38,000.

Both suspects remain in police custody and are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The confiscated items were already submitted for laboratory examination.

“We encourage the public to continue supporting law enforcement by reporting suspicious activities in their communities. Together, we can build a safer, more secure, and drug-free Bacolod,” City Police Office director, P/Col.  Eugene Rebadomia, said.

He added that P544,000 worth of suspected shabu was confiscated from seven operations conducted by the BCPO from July 13-19. | TMD
