PhilHealth launched KonSulTa caravan in Dumaguete City

The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) and the city government of Dumaguete launched the Konsultang Sulit at Tama (KonSulTa) caravan recently, pursuant to the Universal Health Care Law that aims to improve access and delivery of healthcare services to those in need.

Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo said he supports the caravan that aims to provide several primary healthcare services, including medical consultation, provision of selected drugs, laboratory and diagnostic tests, health risk screening, and assessment to PhilHealth members.

The City Health Office conducted the registration and consultation during the event since only PhilHealth members registered with a konsulta provider can avail of these services, Dr. Maria Sarah Talla said in a city press release.

PhilHealth also offered mobile services for enrollment, registration, and updating of membership records. ||
