Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Kabankalan City Police Station dismantled a drug den and confiscated about 15 grams of suspected shabu worth around P100,00 in Purok 1, Barangay 6, Kabankalan City on May 8.

The anti-drug operation also led to the arrest of three suspected drug den operators, identified as Ricardo Garcia, 35, George Ordonia, 39, and Regie Matos, as well as 15 other individuals present in the area when the buy-bust was conducted at around 11 a.m.

Recovered from Garcia were 12 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu, including the buy-bust item, an improvised glass tooter with traces of white crystalline substance, P500, including the P100 subscribed money, three disposable lighters, a grey pouch, a cell phone box, and cash proceeds.

Ordonia yielded five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu, several aluminum foil, disposable lighters, a pair of scissors, and a cellphone box where the foil were kept, while seized from Matos were eight heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets and drug paraphernalia.

The suspects were brought to the Kabankalan City Police Station, while the confiscated items were sent to the Negros Occidental Provincial Crime Laboratory for examination.
