In the past several years, E.B. Magalona has been a rabies-free municipality. However, in the past year, the town registered an average of 100 animal bites per month, based on the records of the Municipal Health Office.

“Our very aim now is to position E.B. Magalona not just  as a  rabies-free community, but also animal bite-free the soonest,” Malacon said, noting that animal bite is no ordinary wound inflicted on humans since  if not treated immediately, it can become life-threatening.

Aside from the pet fun run and walk and the “pawshion” show, services such as spay and neuter, animal consultation, and anti-rabies vaccination for dogs and cats will also be provided for free. ||
