Passenger congestion is expected at the port of San Carlos City in Negros Occidental due to the influx of travelers bound for Cebu province via the port in Toledo City.

In an advisory, the San Carlos City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) said passengers may be stranded since one of the shipping companies cancelled trips due to scheduled ship maintenance activities.

It advised Cebu-bound travelers to contact or coordinate first with their preferred shipping companies for any advisory before proceeding to the port to avoid inconvenience.

The San Carlos CDRRMO, through its Humanitarian Assistance Team and in coordination with the City Social Welfare and Development Office, is ready to assist passengers, who maybe stranded, it added. | GB
