Preparations are underway for the 2025 Panaad sa Negros Festival set on March 24 to 30 this year.
Its staging will coincide with the start of the campaign period for local candidates running for positions such as provincial, city and municipal offices and for the House of Representatives, which will begin on March 28.
Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson said on Friday (Jan. 17) they have invited some candidates running for national positions to join the week-long festivity.
Charina Magallanes-Tan has been designated by Lacson as the executive director for the 29th Panaad sa Negros Festival, which is traditionally being held at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City.
The Panaad sa Negros showcases the festivals, the history, cultural heritage, commerce, industry, and tourism potential of all the cities and municipalities of Negros Occidental, including the highly-urbanized Bacolod City. | GB
