Police Brigadier General Rene Pamuspusan will be leaving his post as Western Visayas police director to serve as deputy director for PNP Directorate for Plans in Camp Crame, regional police spokesperson Lt. Col. Joem Malong said.

Replacing him as PRO 6 chief effective Dec. 1 is P/Brig. Gen. Rolando Miranda, former chief of directorial staff of the defunct Negros Island Region Police Office.

Pamuspusan served as Western Visayas police chief for one year and six months.

Prior to his return to Western Visayas, Miranda, a member of the Philippine Military Academy Class 1990, served as Manila Police District director and was the officer-in-charge of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, three years ago.

The turnover of PRO 6 command ceremony is tentatively scheduled on Dec. 2 at Camp Martin Delgado in Iloilo City, Malong said. – GB
