A total of 29 Pamana–SLP associations each received P300,000 in livelihood grants.

The support aims to help establish and expand sustainable livelihood projects, laying the foundation for increased income, improved well-being, and long-term community resilience, the DSWD-NIR said in a press release.

Present during the turnover were undersecretary Alan Tanjusay of the Peace and Development Group, DSWD-NIR regional director Arwin Razo, and assistant RD for Operations Aileen Cuevas, among others.

In his message, Tanjusay highlighted the essence of the Pamana–SLP convergence initiative, saying the program exists “to uplift and empower communities so they can build lives of dignity and stability.”

He noted that this purpose is evident in the commitment and determination of communities in the region.

Razo challenged program participants to uphold accountability, strengthen cooperation, and remain committed to sustaining their enterprises. He emphasized that livelihood assistance is not merely financial support but a responsibility and opportunity to transform their communities.

The milestone reaffirms the government’s commitment to peacebuilding, inclusive development and uplifting vulnerable communities to ensure that no community is left behind, the DSWD said. ||
