P58 million heavy equipment, vehicles turned over in Bago

Several heavy equipment and vehicles purchased by the Bago local government, all worth P58,547,000, were turned over to concerned city departments and offices June 10.

The acquisition aims to further enhance the city’s operational capabilities and public service.

The turned over assets included one unit of Volvo SD110NE Vibratory Compactor worth P8,700,000; one Volvo EW145B Prime Wheel Backhoe, P17,600,000; and Caterpillar Wheel Excavator M315GC, P15,995,000, the city said.

Others are one unit of SJMotruck 5CMM. mini dump truck worth P1,999,000; one Hino 500 Series Mobile water tanker, P6,699,000; one Isuzu SKW463 All Wheel Drive 6×6 truck, P2,564,000; and one Isuzu NPR85 Telescopic Crane truck, P4,990,000.

Bago Mayor Nicholas Yulo, meanwhile, led the turnover of about P11.475 million worth of new vehicles, also purchased by the city government, June 9.

These included the 61-seater City Bus worth P7,499,900, which was received by General Services Office head, Engineer Leo Pahilanga.

The Bago City College, represented by its president and administrator, Dr. Deborah Natalia Singson, also received a multi-purpose transport vehicle, worth P1,980,000.

Another unit of multi-purpose vehicle, worth P1,995,000, was turned over to the City Cooperative Office, Technology and Livelihood Development Center, and Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office, headed by Judee Lynn Lirazan.

Present during the turnover ceremony at the City Hall grounds Tuesday morning were councilors Victor Michael Javellana, Jake Patrick Torres, Ma. Josefa Matti, and Ma. Femmy Alvarez-Martir, Pahilanga, Engr. Randy Gaspan of the City Engineer’s Office, and City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office head, Dr. Merijene Ortizo, among others. ||
