P425,000 in shabu seized

Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and local policemen seized more than P425,000 worth of suspected shabu from six drug suspects, who were arrested in separate buy-bust operations in Negros Occidental on Jan. 15.       

In Kabankalan City, the apprehension of brothers Jessie James and Gemon Magaso by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the local police at Rojas Street in Barangay 6 led to the confiscation of 55 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P374,000, assorted drug paraphernalia, and P20,000 in buy-bust money, according to a PDEA report.      

The PDEA also categorized the two arrested suspects as high-value target drugs personalities.     

Another police operation at Rizal Street in Barangay 4, Silay City resulted to the arrest of suspect Renato Esman.

Esman yielded an estimated seven grams of suspected shabu, worth P47,600, P3,000 in buy bust money, among other items.     

Two other drug suspects identified as Elna Hilado and Ronalyn de la Cruz were also arrested by the police in Barangay Tinampa-an, Cadiz City.     

Operatives seized five sachets of suspected shabu, worth P1,300, and P500 in marked money. 

On the same day, the apprehension of Jaranie Kasaral in Barangay Robles, La Castellana yielded P544 worth of suspected shabu, P500 in marked money, and a black Kawasaki Baja motorcycle, the police said. –GB
