P4-M shabu seized in Kabankalan City

Policemen seized P4 million worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust at Hacienda San Lucas, Barangay Hilamonan, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental on Monday.

The operation also resulted in the arrest of three drug suspects, who are all residents of Barangay Santa Elena in Iligan City, Lanao del Norte.

They were identified as Lykey Vina, alias Mikel, 38, who engaged in buying and selling of motorcycles; Hamid Sanggacala, a 19-year-old student; and Cherry Tuazon, alias Ayna, 28.

The suspects yielded about 600 grams of suspected shabu valued at P4.08 million during the joint operation of the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group Special Operations Unit-6 led by PCapt. Rosalino Pugoy Jr. and Kabankalan City police Drug Enforcement Team led by PLt. Col. Roberto Indiape Jr.

Operatives also seized from the suspects a Mitsubishi Mirage vehicle with plate number LAL 7428, and P1,000 marked money.

Two days earlier, the police also recovered 303 grams of suspected shabu worth P2.06 million from four suspects in Barangay 5, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental. | GB
