The police confiscated P3 million worth of suspected shabu from 18 arrested drug suspects in Western Visayas on Thursday, July 25.
Seven of them were tagged as high-value individuals while 11 were street-level individuals, who were apprehended in Negros Occidental, including the highly- urbanized Bacolod City, Iloilo Province, Iloilo City, and Capiz.
The Capiz Police Provincial Office has the biggest volume of confiscation of 125 grams of suspected shabu worth P850,000 in a single operation, with the arrest of three suspects, all tagged as high-value individuals, in Barangay Punta Tabuc, Roxas City.
The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office logged the highest number of arrested drug suspects, with seven, while one drug suspect was nabbed in Bacolod City.
The buy-bust operation in Barangay IV Poblacion, Himamaylan City yielded an improvised gun with a 9mm caliber ammunition and about six grams of suspected shabu valued at P40,800.
The apprehension of three drug suspects at Noceco Village in Barangay 1 Poblacion, Kabankalan City resulted in the recovery of 16 grams of suspected shabu worth P108,000, drug paraphernalia, P695 in cash and P500 in marked money.
About 10 grams of suspected shabu valued at P68,000 and its paraphernalia were also seized by the police from two suspects in the cities of La Carlota and Talisay. | GB
