Policemen seized about P310,000 worth of suspected shabu from six drug suspects in separate buy-bust operations in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental on Nov. 8 and 9.
The apprehension of a certain “Eric” on Saturday in Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City yielded about 20 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P136,000.
PMaj. Elmer Bonilla, chief of Police Station 4, said in an interview with Aksyon Radyo that the 45-year-old drug suspect has been placed under surveillance for two weeks prior to his arrest.
At Purok 2 in Barangay Bi-ao, Binalbagan town, operatives confiscated three grams of suspected shabu valued at P20,400 from a 29-year-old laborer.
Five grams of suspected shabu worth P34,000 were seized by the police from a suspected drug peddler at Purok Ilak in Barangay Central Tabao, Valladolid.
A 35-year-old woman yielded seven sachets of the same prohibited substance at Carmona Street in Barangay 6, San Carlos City while seven more sachets were also confiscated by the police from another suspect at Purok Maki-Angayon, Barangay Alimango, Escalante City.
In Pontevedra, a 30-year-old laborer was locked up in jail after he yielded about 17 grams of suspected shabu worth P115,600 during an operation at Hacienda Astro, Barangay Don Salvador Benedicto. | GB
