A P30,000 reward is being offered by Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez for the arrest of one of the suspects in the shooting of a married couple in Barangay Tangub, Bacolod City on Jan. 21.

PCol. Joeresty Coronica, director of Bacolod City Police Office, said on Wednesday (March 5) that Benitez offered the bounty to speed up the arrest of Jonald Sampilo of Barangay Guiljungan, Cauayan, Negros Occidental.

His companion, Juvanie Pelenio, was arrested earlier by the police.

Sampilo and Pelenio were tagged as the suspects in the shooting of Danilo and Cindy Importante at Ramylu Drive.

The husband succumbed to multiple bullet wounds and died on the spot while the wife survived, with various injuries.

Initial police investigation showed the shooting incident was triggered by a grudge.

Coronica called on the public to contact the authorities if they have seen Sampilo. | GB
