P25M Himamaylan cop station building to begin construction

Mayor Raymund Tongson led the groundbreaking ceremony for the two-storey Himamaylan City Component City Police Station building, recently.

The new police station building, worth P24,979,760, is funded under the General Appropriations Act of 2024.

Tongson said the building is one of the legacy projects of his administration.

“This new infrastructure will upgrade the services and improve the peace and security of the city of Himamaylan,” Tongson said in a press release March 8.

The mayor was accompanied by Himamaylan CCPS chief, Lt. Col. Anthony Grande, during the groundbreaking ceremony, along with P/Maj. Dennis Chio, OIC of REU6, B/Gen. Jack Wanky, acting regional director of PRO6, P/Col. Rainerio De Chavez, officer in charge of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, and Hernan Julian Gatuslao, who represented 5th District Rep. Dino Yulo. ||
