More than P2.2 million worth of suspected shabu were recovered by the police in separate buy-busts in Bacolod City over the weekend.
The operation also led to the arrest of three suspects, yielding 330 grams of suspected shabu, with a total market value of P2.249 million.
The arrest of alias “Jeffrey” and alias “Fernando” on Saturday night (Jan. 17) at Purok Crossing in Barangay Tangub led to the confiscation of about 275 grams of suspected shabu valued at P1.87 million.
It was followed by another operation at Purok Cubay in Barangay 40 on Sunday (Jan. 18).
The arrest of alias “Gol”, who is categorized by the police as high-value individual, yielded 55 grams of suspected shabu worth P375,000.
Policemen also seized P559,000 worth of suspected shabu in separate buy-busts in Binalbagan, Valladolid, Manapla, Kabankalan and Himamaylan in Negros Occidental on Jan. 17.
A total of seven suspected drug peddlers were arrested by the police, yielding 82 grams of suspected shabu.
The bulk of seized illegal drugs in Negros Occidental was recovered in Barangay Hilamonan, Kabankalan City, totaling 60 grams valued at P408,000. | GB
