Policemen arrested five suspects in buy-bust and entrapment operations Feb. 15 and 16 in Negros Occidental, that yielded P176,800 worth of illegal drugs and a .45 caliber pistol with ammunition.
A buy-bust operation at Elena Subdivision in Brgy. 5, Silay City, Feb. 16, led to the arrest of Andrew Adelantar, 42, who yielded about 12 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P81,600, P600 in buy-bust money, a Samsung cellular phone, and P52 in cash. He is now locked up at the custodial facility of the police station.
A day before, Jerrycho Daquiado was arrested in a buy-bust in Sitio Barra, Brgy. Mambulac, also in Silay.
His apprehension yielded P61,200 worth of suspected shabu and its paraphernalia, and two cellular phones, the police said.
Two more drug suspects are now locked up in jail after their arrest Feb. 15 in Escalante City and Valladolid, Negros Occidental.
Two sachets of suspected shabu, with a market value of P816, P1,000 in marked money, and assorted paraphernalia, were recovered by the police during the apprehension of Bernard Bernales in Brgy. Old Poblacion, Escalante.
Drug suspect Juvelyn Villanueva was also arrested by the police at Zone 1 in Brgy. Tabao Proper, Valladolid.
The police seized five grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P34,000, and P1,000 in marked money from Villanueva, who is now detained at the custodial facility of the Valladolid Police Station.
Fernando Vinarta, 51, was also arrested by operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, during an entrapment operation Feb. 15 in Sitio Mabucano, Brgy. Cabatangan,Talisay City.
Assisted by the Talisay City Police Station and the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, CIDG operatives seized a .45 caliber pistol with a magazine containing four ammunition, P18,900 in boodle money, and P100 in marked money during the operation. — GB
