The Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region confiscated P17.5 million worth of suspected shabu in week-long operations from Aug. 11 to 17.
A total of 39 drug personalities were arrested while 2.5 kilos of suspected shabu valued at P17.595 million were seized.
About P10 million worth of illegal drugs were recovered in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental alone.
Meanwhile, campaign against loose firearms led to the arrest of nine persons, recovery of eight guns, and 24 firearms surrendered.
In the campaign against illegal gambling, 52 violators were apprehended while P8,902 cash bets were recovered.
In the same period, PRO-NIR arrested 91 fugitives, of which 14 have been included in the list of most wanted persons in the region. | GB
