A street-level individual was arrested with P136,000 worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Palaka, Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental Sept. 26.
The Valladolid Municipal Police Station said the 37-year-old suspect was nabbed after allegedly selling a heat-sealed sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover police officer.
Authorities recovered about 20 grams of suspected shabu during the sting, and was turned over to the Negros Occidental Provincial Forensic Unit for laboratory examination.
The Police Regional Office Negros-Island Region (PRO-NIR) said the inventory of the seized items was conducted in accordance with Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
“This operation shows our resolve to act on information, disrupt the movement of illegal drugs, and hold those involved accountable,” PRO-NIR director, P/Gen Rudecindo Reales, said in a press release.
“We will remain focused on prevention, strengthen our police presence, and work closely with the community to keep illegal drugs away from our streets,” he added. | TMD
