About P116 million has been realigned to fund this year’s Collective Negotiation Agreement Incentive (CNAI) and other bonuses of Bacolod government employees, including P21 million for the gratuity pay of job order and contract of service (COS) workers.
The allotment for CNAI reached P42 million, Service Recognition Incentive for this year, P28 million; and P25 million for last year’s Performance-Based Bonus.
The reprogramming/realignment was contained in Resolution 41-2024 of the City Development Council (CDC) and already ratified by the Sangguniang Panlungsod.
Councilor Renecito Novero, however, told his colleagues during the regular SP session this afternoon, Dec. 4, that there is need for the City Treasurer’s Office to specify the sources and exact amount of funds to be realigned from “various offices/accounts”.
The resolution, passed during the CDC meeting and yearend assessment Nov. 22, approved “the reprogramming/realignment of the Annual Investment Program 2024…under various sources of funds, subject to the submission of project briefs”.
Aside from the P116 million, the CDC also realigned P140 million from savings and prior year’s unobligated balances mostly to the City Mayor’s Office for general services and other expenses. | CGC
