P1-M shabu recovered, 5 drug suspects nabbed

More than P1 million worth of suspected shabu were recovered by the police in three buy-bust operations in the cities of Bacolod City and Silay in Negros Occidental over the weekend.

The arrest of three drug suspects on Sunday (Nov. 17) at Purok Sambag in Barangay Pahanocoy, Bacolod City led to the recovery of about 52 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P353,600.

A day earlier, the police seized about 75 grams of the same prohibited substance valued at P510,000 from an arrested drug suspect at Purok Tahong, Barangay 2, Bacolod City.

In Silay City, the arrests of a certain “Ann” in Barangay 3 and alias “Padoy” in Barangay Rizal yielded 21 grams of suspected shabu worth P142,800, and a caliber .22 pistol with 10 rounds of ammunition. | GB
