After a negligible rollback in the prices of petroleum products last week, motorists are advised to gas up as more than a peso increase per liter is expected, starting on Feb. 20.

Oil companies announced over the weekend that diesel will go up by P0.90 to P1.10 per liter, gasoline by P1.20 to P1.40/L, and kerosene P1 to P1.30/L.

The exact adjustments will be known today, Feb. 19.

Since the start of this year, net increases in the prices of gasoline, diesel and kerosene already stood at P4.45/L, P4.30/L, and P0.45/L, respectively.

“Crude oil prices remain rangebound, driven by the alternating focus between demand concerns weighing on prices and support from risk of a supply disruption in the Middle East,” the Department of Energy said. | CGC
