Separate buy-busts in Bacolod City and Pontevedra town in Negros Occidental led to the seizure of P1.9 million worth of suspected shabu from six suspects on Wednesday (July 9), police reports showed.
Operatives of Bacolod City Police Office City Drug Enforcement Unit led by PLt. Col. Antonio Benitez arrested five drug suspects at Purok Lubi in Barangay 3.
They were identified with their aliases Toto, Negro, Jonathan, Justine and Teyob, who yielded of about 200 grams of suspected shabu valued at P1.36 million.
In Pontevedra, a suspect with alias “Turagsoy” was arrested with about 85 grams of suspected shabu worth P578,000.
On July 8, police seized three grams of suspected shabu amounting to P20,400 from alias “Bords” in Barangay Luna, Cadiz City.
The arrested suspects are locked up in jail, pending the filing of charges against them for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. | GB
