P1.8M shabu recovered from 5 drug suspects

The series of buy-bust operations in highly urbanized city of Bacolod and Iloilo, from April 5 to 7, led to the apprehensions of five drug suspects and the recovery of about 265 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P1,802,000.

The arrest of a construction worker, whose identity is being withheld, on Sunday by Police Station 8 operatives during a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Mandalagan, Bacolod City, led to the seizure of about 90 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P612,000.

Three other drug suspects were also nabbed Saturday by the police in a buy-bust operation in Guimbal, Iloilo, which yielded an estimated 150 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P1,020,000.

Two of the three drug suspects are jobless, while another one is a fisherman, according to the police.

Police operatives also collared an alias Sydney in Jaro, Iloilo on April 5. The suspect yielded 25 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P170,000. | GB
