P1.2-M shabu seized, former soldier arrested

Policemen seized more than P1.5 million worth of suspected shabu in various operations in Negros Occidental on Aug. 5 and 6.

A report of Bacolod City Police Office said operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit recovered an estimated P884,000 worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust at Purok Kabuhi in Barangay 10 on Wednesday.

The arrest of alias “Richard” yielded about 130 grams of the prohibited substance.

In Sagay City, the police confiscated about 58 grams of suspected shabu valued at P394,400 from a suspect, who was arrested at Teachers Village in Barangay 1 Poblacion.

Over in Kabankalan City, a former Philippine Army soldier and four other suspects were arrested by the police in a buy-bust at Purok 2, Barangay 6 on Tuesday.

The arrest of  alias “Sarge”, a resident of Barangay Su-ay, Himamaylan City, as well as “Tanker”, “July”, “Grepil” and “Garry” yielded about 25 grams of suspected shabu valued at P170,000.

In Silay City, the police arrested two suspects and recovered 17 grams of suspected shabu worth P115,000 in Barangay E. Lopez on the same day. | GB
