The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) scored another major accomplishment in anti-illegal drug operations, following the recovery of P1.1 million worth of suspected shabu from an arrested drug suspect on Thursday (May 22).
In a statement, the BCPO said the City Drug Enforcement Unit arrested a high-value individual with aliases of “YenYen” and “Emil” during a buy-bust at Purok Sigay in Barangay 2.
His apprehension yielded about 170 grams of suspected shabu valued at P1.156 million.
Earlier, the BCPO seized P31.28 million worth of suspected shabu in three buy-bust operations in Barangays 2, Taculing and Estefania, which also led to the arrest of three drug personalities.
PCol. Joeresty Coronica, BCPO director, said the series of anti-illegal drug operations reflects BCPO’s unwavering commitment to intensify its campaign against illegal drugs.
Meanwhile, three other drug suspects were arrested by the police in buy-bust operations in cities of Himamaylan and La Carlota, which led to the confiscation of about two grams of suspected shabu valued at P13,000.
The seven arrested drug suspects are now locked up in jail, and facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002. | GB
