A team from the Office of Vice President (OVP) Sara Duterte went to the municipality of La Castellana in Negros Occidental June 6, to deliver aid to evacuees affected by the eruption of Mt. Kanlaon.
More than 600 relief boxes were distributed by the OVP team to evacuees from five barangays of La Castellana.
Each relief box contains mosquito nets, hygiene and dental kits, slippers, masks, and disinfectant alcohol.
The OVP also provided drinking water for the affected residents, its press release said.
The aid distribution was facilitated by the OVP Panay and Negros Islands Satellite Office, in collaboration with the local government unit of La Castellana, Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine Airforce, and the Department of Social Welfare and Development. ||
