A reputable dictionary would define the word “happy” as enjoying or characterized by well-being and contentment.
The inevitable question now asks us – do you remember the time that you were happy? That you were content?
Perhaps because of a promotion. An answered prayer. A something that we received. Those are probably our answers.
It must be too fascinating to state that we are not the only ones who experienced such definition. The early disciples had their fair share of how happiness felt. A type of happiness that comes from the fact that a supposedly forever lost beloved has, against all odds, come back.
In the words of 1 Corinthians 15:20, it was said that:
“But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.”
What, then, would that subsequently follow? A song will burst out from the depth of the hearts of all mortals. A song that goes like this:
Oh happy day
(oh happy day)
When Jesus washed
When Jesus washed
When Jesus washed
He washed my sins away
Oh happy day.
A Blessed Resurrection Sunday to all…For you and me to be HAPPY FOREVER!
