The Northern Negros Electric Cooperative said Oct. 20 that its residential rate for October decreased to P11.1328 per kilowatt-hour from the P13. 9704 per kWh in September.
“The P2.8376 per kWh decrease is a result on the appeal of NONECO together with sister electric cooperatives of Panay and Negros to the Energy Regulatory Commission,” NONECO said in an advisory.
The electric cooperatives appealed to ERC to order a stop to the congestion cost, line rental charges, and implementation of market price intervention on high electricity market price of the electricity market due to the damaged submarine cable of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines affecting electric cooperative member-consumer-owners, it added. – NND
