Member-consumers of the Northern Negros Electric Cooperative will be paying P14.5674 for each kilowatt-hour of electricity consumed this billing month of April, or up by P2.5709/kWh, from the March’s rate of P11.9965/kWh.

The more than P2.50/kWh increase was due to the high cost of electricity in the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market, at P8.1846, from last month’s rate of P5.7289/kWh, the Noneco said in an advisory.

Noneco’s residential rate increase for April was the second highest in Negros Occidental.

The Negros Occidental Electric Cooperative’s rate stood at P14.6309/kWh, or an increase of P3.4742/kWh, from last month’s residential rate of P11.1567/kWh.

Member-consumers of the Central Negros Electric Cooperative, meanwhile, will pay P11.9566/kWh, or an increase of P1.7287/kWh, from the P10.2279/kWh rate in March. | CGC
