A lineman of the Northern Negros Electric Cooperative (Noneco) died after he was electrocuted while repairing an electrical line in Calatrava, Negros Occidental on July 25.

Jovi Bulfa, 38, was declared dead on arrival at the Calatrava Municipal Hospital.

Based on initial police investigation, he accidentally touched the secondary line and got electrocuted.

In a statement, the Noneco management said Bulfa “gave his life in service, ensuring others could live in light”.

“Your compassion and dedication will never be forgotten. You will always be remembered and honored,” it added.

The Noneco management assured the Bulfa family they will receive insurance benefits provided by the cooperative and also from the Social Security System. | GB
