The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) topped the number of neutralized drug personalities from March 2 to 9 in Western Visayas, according to a report of Police Regional Office-6 (PRO-6).
NOCPPO accounted for 32 of the 85 drug personalities arrested for the said period.
It also confiscated 305.5 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P2.07 million, and seized 60 grams of suspected dried marijuana leaves valued at P7,200.
The Iloilo City Police Office recorded the highest amount of confiscation with more than two kilos of suspected shabu, amounting to P13.8 million, and arrested 16 drug suspects, the report added.
The Iloilo Police Provincial Office confiscated 272.5 grams of suspected shabu, with a market value of P1.853 million in 13 operations, which led to the arrest of 16 drug personalities.
All over Western Visayas, confiscated were P19.9 million worth of suspected shabu, following the arrest of 85 drug personalities in 72 anti-drug operations.
Maj. Mary Grace Socorro Borio, spokesperson of PRO-6, said that other police units also contributed to the region’s accomplishment in the anti-drug campaign.
In a statement, PBrig. Gen. Jack Wanky, regional director of PRO-6, lauded the relentless efforts of the Western Visayas police in the ongoing campaign against illegal drugs. | GB
