There will be no vacation leave for personnel of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) during the Holy Week, officer-in-charge PCol. Rainerio De Chavez said Thursday (March 21).

“We have also coordinated with the Office of the Governor, the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines in the conduct of a peaceful and orderly Holy Week break,” he added.

While there is no red alert status raised in the province, he said they are more than ready to secure Negrenses during the Holy Week.

Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, who presided the first quarter meeting of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council at the Social Hall in Bacolod City, said that the PDRMMO is also ready for the Holy Week break.

Lacson said that the Holy Week readiness is standard, including those in the various local government units. | GB
