A total of 221 fugitives have been accounted for by the police in Negros Occidental including highly urbanized Bacolod City, for the month of September this year.
Of the arrested wanted persons, 33 of them categorized by the police as Most Wanted Persons (MWPs), or those facing heinous cases, while 188 others are categorized as Other Wanted Persons (OWPs), or those persons involved in minor crimes.
The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office apprehended a total of 194 fugitives, of which 27 categorized as MWPs, while the 167 others are OWPs.
Meanwhile, the BCPO also nabbed 27 fugitives, of which six categorized as MWPs.
All over Western Visayas, the Police Regional Office 6 reported to have arrested 525 persons, including those apprehended by the NOCPPO and BCPO, of which 113 were classified as MWPs.
PBrig. Gen. Jack Wanky, regional police director of Western Visayas, in a statement, lauded those police officers involved in the arrest of 525 wanted persons. | GB
